The Chosen Season 6 Sets the Stage for Jesus’ Crucifixion in Gripping New Trailer
--
Tema Manga – The upcoming sixth season of The Chosen is preparing to bring viewers into one of the most pivotal periods in the life of Jesus Christ. Prime Video and 5&2 Studios have released a new official trailer offering a closer look at the dramatic events leading to his crucifixion. The season is scheduled to premiere on November 15, 2026.
Season 6 will consist of six episodes, with three available when the series launches. The remaining installments will arrive weekly until December 6, 2026. Rather than covering an extended period, the story concentrates on the final day of Jesus’ life, presenting the events through the experiences of people who stand beside him as well as those determined to bring him down.
The trailer portrays an atmosphere of mounting pressure as Jesus faces interrogation, rejection, and the prospect of death. His intentions become a central subject of questioning, with authorities considering whether his mission threatens the existing political order. Jesus, meanwhile, remains committed to his purpose despite the increasingly dangerous circumstances.

One of the season’s central themes is the contrast between how different groups interpret the same events. Religious leaders believe they are defending justice, Roman officials are concerned with maintaining order, and Jesus’ followers view his impending execution as a devastating act against someone they love.
By presenting these conflicting perspectives, the series aims to explore the personal and political tensions surrounding the crucifixion. The narrative also examines the emotional consequences for those caught up in the events, including the loneliness, fear, and betrayal surrounding Jesus’ final hours.
Jonathan Roumie reprises his role as Jesus, alongside Shahar Isaac as Peter, Paras Patel as Matthew, and Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene. Other returning cast members include Noah James as Andrew, George H. Xanthis as John, Vanessa Benavente as Mary, and Luke Dimyan as Judas.
